Nancy C. Harris is a family law paralegal at Mahoney Nashatka Richmond, PLLC, having worked with founding partner Andrew T. Richmond for over seven years.
She relocated to Virginia Beach from Boston in 2010 with her husband and two children.
Nancy graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in English and a minor in history, and the Katherine Gibbs School.
For the past seven years working with MNR’s attorneys, Nancy has enjoyed working closely with clients throughout the litigation process. Prior to moving to Hampton Roads, she spent 10 years with a family law firm in Framingham, Mass.
Outside the office, Nancy is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys studying nutrition and alternative health solutions.
Stacie Bagwell has nearly 20 years of experience in the legal field, most it spent working as a paralegal exclusively in family law. She has been with Reeves W. Mahoney since 2004, working diligently with counsel in assisting family law clients. She particularly enjoys complex custody matters and the many challenges associated with custody litigation.
Stacie is proud of the unique approach the firm takes with each client’s case, including the association of multiple experts from different practice areas in assuring a successful outcome. It is through this type of commitment that Stacie has not only built trust with clients but relationships.
Born in Athens, Ohio, but raised in Virginia courtesy of the military, Stacie received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Old Dominion University. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
Ashley South is a native of Virginia Beach and a graduate of First Colonial High School. She attended the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she majored in English.
Ashley started to work at law firms after college graduation. She has over 10 years of legal experience spanning two states: Virginia and California. Her experience has mainly been in the field of estate planning and administration, but she is excited to be working in family law for Mahoney Nashatka Richmond, PLLC.
Ashley‘s husband is in the U.S. Navy. The couple recently moved back to Virginia Beach from Monterey, California. Ashley enjoys traveling, Zumba, the beach, running and especially spending time with her husband and dog, Montee.
Joy Pagano is a Legal Assistant to Andrew T. Richmond, L. Ashley Brooks and Nicole M. Thurston.
Joy obtained her Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies. She has been working in the legal field for nearly a decade. Joy enjoys being able to assist clients as they maneuver through difficult times in their lives.
Outside of work, Joy enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Tammy Kimball came to Hampton Roads by way of Neenah, Wisc., thanks to the military.
Tammy’s vast experience working in various areas of law – including family, construction, litigation, collections, employment and medical malpractice – spans 28 years and two states: Florida and Virginia.
Tammy is a loyal and dedicated legal assistant and works diligently assisting family law clients at Mahoney Nashatka Richmond, PLLC. Tammy presents a calm, helpful and supportive demeanor as she handles their immediate needs, while patiently explaining procedures. While the firm’s clients experience open and frequent communication with their attorneys, Tammy adds an additional liaison for clear communications with the clients. Our family law attorneys look to her often as the initial contact with our clients. She is also relied upon by the attorneys for drafting necessary documents, meeting directly with the clients, scheduling appointments and court appearances, as well as keeping the client files organized.
Tammy enjoys being outdoors, gardening, bike riding, Green Bay Packers football and spending time with family and friends.
Dorothy Braxton was first introduced to the legal field during her more than 12 years at the Norfolk Circuit Court. At the courthouse she worked in the civil department opening new cases, sitting in on court cases and working closely with judges, attorneys and the public, among other duties.
Dorothy, a native of Jamaica, came to Hampton Roads with her husband, who was in the military.
She received her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Regent University in Virginia Beach. After her time at the Norfolk Circuit Court, Braxton was a paralegal instructor before joining MNR Law.
Dorothy is passionate about working in the legal field because she says, the law is a part of people, every day. Dorothy wants to make sure the law makes a positive difference in people’s lives.
The mother of a college-age student and middle schooler likes to travel, go to exotic places (like her original homeland, Jamaica), decorate and watch HGTV and spend time with her family.
Toni Guagenti worked in newspapers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, outside Baltimore and at The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk before leaving journalism to work in public relations, marketing and social media.
She’s served as a freelance political consultant for several Hampton Roads’ political candidates, including former Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms (2008-2016).
She also penned the book, “100 Things to Do in Virginia Beach Before You Die,” in 2016.
When she’s not exploring new parts of Hampton Roads or freelance writing, Toni hangs out with her Italian greyhounds, enjoys good vino and gleams with pride at being the mother of a 20-year-old college student.
Kasia Rice started her career as a legal assistant nearly three decades ago. For 24 of those years, Kasia has worked with attorney Reeves W. Mahoney.
The majority of her career has been spent as a legal assistant and a paralegal focusing on family law. Kasia has also worked as a paralegal managing residential and commercial real estate closings.
She brings her management experience to the table as MNR’s firm manager after working simultaneously for her husband’s software engineering/IT business since 2000.
Kasia and her husband live in Virginia Beach with their two daughters and myriad pets. In her spare time, she volunteers for the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center by providing a foster home for cats and kittens.
Paralegal Assistant/General Assistant
Jackson Harris is a paralegal assistant and general services employee at MNR Law, assisting the attorneys and paralegals in preparations for cases.
He graduated from Old Dominion University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and recently returned to ODU to study for his master’s.
Jackson grew up in Virginia Beach but recently moved to Norfolk. He enjoys helping his college Model UN society, as well as playing soccer in his spare time.
Anne (Annie) Velasco-Corsino has been the firm receptionist at Mahoney Nashatka Richmond, PLLC since January 2016. She takes pride in being the “point of first contact” for this remarkable boutique family law firm. Anne’s professionalism and ethics are key to maintaining an organized, discreet business environment for all clientele.
She graduated from the University of Central Florida where she received her bachelor’s degree in Public Administration.
Working for MNR has provided her the opportunity to acquire knowledge and be engaged in the practice of family law. She enjoys the interaction with clients, working with the attorneys and staff, gaining exposure to a variety of cases and reviewing their outcomes.
Anne comes to her love of the beach and the sound of crashing waves naturally – she originally hails from Pensacola, Fla. A dedicated wife and mother of two beautiful children, Anne and her family enjoy exploring the areas’ museums, parks, theaters and restaurants. They also love to picnic at a local park or on the beach – that’s why her nickname is, “Annie on the Go!”
