MNR Law welcomes Attorney Jessica N. Samms to the firm - MNR – Mahoney + Nashatka + Richmond , PLLC

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Mahoney Nashatka Richmond, PLLC is proud to announce the addition of Attorney Jessica N. Samms to the family law firm in Virginia Beach’s Town Center. Jessica comes to MNR Law from Norfolk Circuit Court (Fourth Judicial Circuit), where she served as a Judicial Law Clerk. She is a 2017 graduate of Regent University School of Law’s Honors Program and was the first Regent Law student to clerk with the Norfolk Circuit Court.

“Jessica is an amazing addition to MNR Law’s team of dedicated family law attorneys. She will fit in well serving our family law clients with compassion, intelligence and legal expertise,” says MNR founding attorney Andrew T. Richmond. “We look forward to her taking on divorce cases and building her reputation as a stellar attorney in the field.”

Jessica hails from Long Island, New York, where she grew up surrounded by siblings and cousins. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Delaware in Newark, Del., and a master’s degree from Molloy College in Long Island, N.Y.

She has a diverse legal background, including a prestigious judicial internship with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She also prosecuted misdemeanor cases as an intern at the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys the beach, taking walks, listening to music and catching a movie.

Jessica is the second attorney in three months to join MNR Law. In May, Mahoney Nashatka Richmond, PLLC welcomed L. Ashley Brooks, a wills, trusts, estates, elder law and business planning attorney who practiced at her own firm in Chesapeake before joining MNR.

Mahoney Nashatka Richmond, PLLC opened in January 2016. Its six attorneys exclusively practice family law, which includes divorce, custody, visitation, non-parent rights, spousal and child support issues, adoption, wills, estates, trusts and elder law. Each attorney understands the need to balance knowledge and the complexities of the law with sensitivity in handling family issues.
